Every day is Black History Day
Sept 2023
As part of our Phoenix Cultural Enrichment Programme , our young people were encouraged to research and create a presentation about a Black Woman who inspires them . They presented their ideas to friends and family at the African Caribbean Day on Maidstone Rd , as part of a Black Pound Day event.
Phoenix Black Pound Day 2022
Many came to support our young people aged 8-18 years old!
Hosted at the African Caribbean Centre on Saturday 3rd December, the Phoenix Black Pound Day was a success, with a few young people managing to raise over £100 for a sickle cell charity.
Attended by the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Leicester.
Well done to all who participated and thank you to all who attended, supported and purchased.
