Our Commitment to Safeguarding
Phoenix Agenda Supplementary School (PASS) is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
We believe that every child has the right to feel safe, valued, and supported, and we take our responsibility to protect children extremely seriously.
Safeguarding is central to everything we do and underpins all aspects of our work with children, young people, families, staff, and volunteers.

Phoenix Agenda has a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) responsible for overseeing safeguarding practice and responding to concerns.

In the absence of the DSL, safeguarding concerns can be raised with any member of staff.
Staff, Volunteers and Training
All staff, tutors, and mentors at Phoenix Agenda:

Are DBS checked at the appropriate level

Receive safeguarding training before working with children

Undertake regular refresher training

Are familiar with our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy
Everyone working with children understands:

How to recognise signs of abuse or neglect

How to respond appropriately to disclosures

How and when to report safeguarding concerns
Reporting a Safeguarding Concern
If you have a safeguarding concern about a child or young person attending Phoenix Agenda, please report it immediately.
Concerns can be raised:

Directly with the Designated Safeguarding Lead

With a member of staff, who will pass it on appropriately
All concerns are taken seriously, recorded, and acted upon in line with our safeguarding procedures and statutory guidance.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact emergency services on 999.
Working with Parents and Carers
We believe safeguarding works best when we work in partnership with parents and carers.
